Down the double shocker? I didn't realise it was possible to come down it, every chuffing race seems to have us going up the bloomin thing! ;)

At least there's Wales. And it won't be snowing.

The Ventana is getting the full Wales conversion kit installed at the moment. I put it in for fork & shock service at Sussed Out Suspension & got the bad news- Fox Float 140 Rl are dead. Kaput. Ceased to be. No more. Gone to the great rock garden in the sky.
Anyway I was forced to buy new forks- gone for the Rock Shox Sektor coil 150-120 two position with 20mm Maxle light.
OH YES. With those on the front, a serviced DHX 5 Air shock at the rear & the Gravity Dropper post, it'll be Wales Downhill Cod rides again.

Double Shocker's got the better music at least...

Which Gravity Dropper have you got Chris? Seriously tempted to get one myself but not sure whether the remote and/or multi-adjust versions are worth it.

My earlier post looks a bit out of place. I started writing it, then came back half an hour later to finish it & post. In the meantime, everyone started talking about Thetford!
It's the Turbo with remote lever 3 inch drop. 3" drop seems to be better for me than the 4" one I had last year. Got it for £151 on Chain Reaction- sale price + extra 10% off. Nice. Turbo or Classic are as good as each other I think. I wouldn't bother with the lever under the saddle version. Can't comment on what it rides like at Thetford, however...
(There, you see- brought it back in line with the conversation.)

Alert: this thread has been hijacked by people not talking about Canada. That is a good video jon!

In answer to your question though: Stanchions worn out. Rebuild cost would have been £275. Not worth it when they are 5 years old and the Sektors will be £360 fitted & set up by the Sussed out guys (10% discount on full retail).
Don't know whether anyone else has any experience with Sussed out yet? My experience is good so far. I'll report in due time.

I would have gone for the same as yours John, but you are limited for choice with a 27.2 seatpost.
