Does any one want to do Rendlesham on Sunday? Tunstall will be a bit wet due to the last weeks rain, so it might be better to give the trails some time to dry out so as not to trash them too much.

Good idea - no point trashing the tunny trails.

Assuming I'm not overly hung over from a Saturday night do & the weather is half decent I would be interested in looking at the southern loop of the Suffolk Rough Stuff. Maybe the entire 25 loop.

But given this years' habit for people to just turn up expecting to ride that might be a bit of a shock...

Not much chance of half decent weather this weekend :( . We used it all up last weekend 8) . I think it's going to be a wet ride on Sunday.

would love to join you chaps but I'll be doing that daft thing where you get on the bike in soaking wet clothes and go for a run afterwards. Perhaps might catch you next week tho the slowbies are a later start

Meet at the end of the runway (see start locations sticky) for 9 o'clock. Depending on the weather, decide what to do, either the 25 mile Rough Stuff (Mark must know the route :?: ) or something closer with bail-out options. Pace................medium to a bit faster, 10/12mph . I'll bring my GPS and a map so we don't get too lost.

Hi,

Don't know the rough stuff trail but anything much over 10 is probably going to be a bit of a stretch for me

I've got the SRS GPX loaded up.

Somewhere in the members section I posted up an image of the route - search for SRS or Suffolk Rough Stuff & it should be returned in the results. Its mainly fireroad/bridleway with about 2miles of minor road in the entire loop.

The Southern loop is 15 miles with a bailout option circa 9.5miles where it re-joins the main road/fire-road through rendlesham. i.e back to the pay & display carpark.

So its just the 4 of us then?

Hope James and I will be there.

Granny's 70th birthday tonight so might have a drink!

New chain fitted to the green machine so should be out to give it a run and see if my anoying creeking has stopped. Good choice of ride SB , with the wet ground I fancy sticking to the firmer ground on the route you are planning although I am tempted to get the road bike out. Will ride up to get some extra Sunrise training miles in.

Fingers crossed for fair weather .
