Meet initially at Fire Road 28 entrance @ 9 0'clock (on road from Tunstall village towards Orford :B1078). This is the current entrance point for the harvesting contractors. From there we will need to condense transport methods as there's only room for about 4 cars at the work site lay by on the road. I'll take my trailer with the tools and a few bods straight to the work site off-road. If you have enough ground clearance and traction you should be OK to follow the track beside the power lines but there is a steep rooty off-camber climb involved.

The work will be on the two berms and down slope at the end of V3. The berms have been partly eroded away so need rebuilding and realigning to make them flow better.

The down slope has washed into a gully as it runs straight down the fall-line. This needs altering to provide rain water run off to the sides and slight realignment for a better entry line to the two berms at the bottom.

The diversion route has been already been cleared and will just need sign posting on the day.

Probably finish about 12 or earlier for those who want to ride as well. Please bring suitable hefty footwear, safety boots if you have them, drink and some grub. If this is your first TB session with TROG, can you please fill-in the attached forms and give them to me on the day.

I will get the tools, safety gear, gloves etc from the container beforehand, but I would appreciate it if folks could post here if they are coming so I can get the right amount of gear.

Thanks,
John

Can you have a look around Section V8 to see if there's any trail damage? I've got a feeling they've started extracting timber to FR24 which means crossing the trail somewhere.

I think I'll probably bike over from Sax so I'll catch up with you at V3

Thanks for your work this morning chaps, sorry it went on a bit longer than planned but we achieved everything I wanted to get done  . Two berms replaced and two side discharge drains with rollers installed on the long down-slope.
