About Us

TROG are a Trailbuilding club working with the Forestry Commission to set up a network of trails in Suffolk's Tunstall and Rendlesham Forests.

In addition to Trailbuilding, TROG is the focus for weekly rides in the forests as well as regular club trips to other mountain biking venues and we also attend various national races.   TROG also hold various events throughout the year, from club dinners to hosting rounds of the Thetford Winter Series races, etc.   TROG aim to be as inclusive as possible, so whilst we do entertain various "racing snakes" we also cater for members who just prefer to enjoy a gentle trundle through the woods.

Anyone is welcome to join the weekly Sunday morning ride to get a feel for what the club is about and what we do.   These rides are aimed at riders of all abilities, please see the club forum for details of where we meet and when.   In addition to the weekly ride, there are usually various other club rides going on throughout the week; night-rides, training rides, etc.

While the Sunday rides aim to cater for all abilities, occasionally there are novice sessions aimed at giving people a gentle introduction to the world of mountain biking in a less intimidating environment.   These sessions are arranged when there is sufficient demand, so if you are interested, please either post on the forum, or contact a committee member directly.

Our ride guidelines are posted in the rides section of the Club forum. Please make sure you read them before you ride
